What I liked

On previous visits to the Maternity Unit I was treated very well. The staff were friendly and I was confident that my care was in good hands.

What could be improved

My most recent visit was a different story to those previous. The sonographer left me with a bruised stomach and contradicted what the previous sonographer had told me. Without going into too much detail, their comments were tactless and left me very upset and emotional. I have to mention that the trainee sonographer was very professional and was also treated quite rudely by the sonographer.

Anything else?

I would like to think that the sonographer didn’t act tactlessly by intention but would hope that the training they received would have advised them of better ways to conduct a scan.
