About: Islington Central Medical Centre

If your child has a longterm illness this is not the surgery for care. I rang up in the morning to see if I can get an appointment for my son. At the time his hair was falling out by the day and the scalp was so red, with the soreness. I was told that there was no appointment. I said should I go to the hospital as this is an emergency. I was then given an appointment. We went for our appointment and saw a doctor who looked at my sons head,. And asked about his medical history. The doctor divided that as my son had an appointment with the skin hospital the following thursday. That they weren't going to offer any treatment. I wasn't happy with this decision and went straight up to the hospital and was seen by a doctor there and we explained to the doctor that saw us about what just happened at our doctors and the doctor said this boy should have been offered some treatment and not turned away because he was under the hospital and had an appointment coming up. I was so frustrated as this is the 2 incident I have had with my sons heath issues. I said I am going to find a new practice the last time, but said why should I find another service.
