"Cold care"

About: Whiteleaf Centre

I was sectioned

I was so frightened and did not recognise that I was ill.

The nursing staff were cold and disinterested.

Took ages to see a psychiatrist and even then did not explain to me that the things I believed were not true.

To me they were real.

It seemed to me that I was just stuffed with medication, there was no support.

I really could have done with some kindness and explanation.

Some of the patients were very aggressive and it was tough for the staff and unpleasant.

I’m better now.

The whole experience was a complete nightmare.

I am so sorry to read your concerns about the treatment you received.

We take all feedback about out services seriously and I would be grateful if you could contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS@oxfordhealth.nhs.uk or 0800 328 7971) so that we can work with you to ensure we learn from your experience to improve the service provided to others.

With best wishes
