I just wanted to highly commend the staff of the Endoscopy unit for their care and professionalism which I experienced during my Bowel Screening procedure.

The 'end to end' level of care was excellent and while being an anxious patient this was made easier by the relaxed ambience and the caring and positive nature of the nursing staff. The doctor performing the procedure was very thorough in explaining the full procedure and very responsive to questions, the procedure itself was trouble-free and swift exceeding my expectations.

There was also a constant presence of staff who were cleaning following each patient discharge.

The Endoscopy Unit and Bowel Cancer Screening team always strives to provide individualised, patient-centred care for our patients. We want them to feel that they are treated with compassion, respect and dignity and not to feel like a number in a system. These comments serve to reinforce that we are achieving this.

For the year 2017/18, we were presented with a special award for the fact that 99% of our patients said they would recommend our services to friends and family. This a real source of pride for our team, and we would like to take the opportunity to thank those who felt motivated to comment on the care they received with us. We will ensure that they are shared with all of our staff.
