This surgery is an absolute joke , you can never get an appointment, phone on the day at 8.15 by the time you get through appointments all gone . It's like a lottery you need a bit of luck to get an appointment, not good when your feeling ill .

I apologise for your the stress caused in attempting to obtain an appointment, we absolutely acknowledge the appointments are under extraordinary demand. However, we are being hampered in our endeavours by having clinicians currently on sick leave and employing locums in their place.

As locums are self-employed they can cancel at the last minute and have at times had to cancel appointments, therefore the 2 locums we are using are on the day only and telephone bookings.

I am very sorry that this is causing you concerns please also note that we receive in excess of 300 calls between 08:15 and 09:30 am daily.

Finally I am obliged to point out that you do have a choice of GP surgeries. You should be aware that the Castle Practice in the RHLC is in the opposite position and is actively seeking to enlarge its list of patients and presumably has much better appointment availability.
