"Breast cancer op, Colchester hospital"

About: Colchester General Hospital

I have only positive things to say about my treatment and care. The staff at this hospital were so attentive and compassionate , when I had my lumpectomy and lymph’s removed . There was one consultant Dr and she was so smiley, compassionate and attentive in explaining everything it made me feel in safe hands January 2017 . The nurses worked their socks off and nothing was too much trouble . The cancer support services were excellent , as were the staff at the radiotherapy centre as well , they explained everything in a laymen’s terms and gave me as much time as I needed to discuss and understand what was going on for me . So overal , the staff for me were A1 . The main issue for me as a disabled person is the limited disabled parking close to the wards , you have to park what seem miles away ( although radiotherapy has allocated parking, which was a god send) . I have been back and forth constantly , even today jan 2018 and I still remain impressed with the level of care offered .
