"I felt like I'd been forgotten"

About: Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust / Adult mental health

(as the patient),

well it took from jan up till midway in april to get an appoitment at the hadrian clinic, newcastle upon tyne. i had to contact my own doctor to eventually receive an appointment from the secretary.

on getting to the clinic 10 minutes before my appointment, i am assuming that the receptionist then forgot to inform the doctor that i was there, i ended up waiting for an hour to see him.

I am very sorry to hear of your recent experience of having to wait from January to April to get an appointment at the Hadrian Clinic and that you then had to wait for an hour before being able to see the doctor. I would very much like to discuss this with you in order for me to have a better understanding as to why this has happened and to allow me to look at what we can do to ensure people using the service at the Hadrian Clinic are seen as soon as possible and at the time stated as the appointment time.

My name is Tony Quinn and I am the service manager for planned care services, North of Tyne. I can be contacted on 0191 5699099. I look forward to hearing from you.
