"Varicose vein referral"

About: Circle-Nottingham NHS Treatment Centre

The staff in reception were polite and courteous as was the nurse who showed me through to the waiting area. Unfortunately, I felt the nurse specialist was dismissive. She requested I undress with a flick of her hand whilst still talking. I felt she expected me to sit in my underpants and continue the conversation.

She told me I could not get my varicose veins treated on the NHS then offered me a scan, which I declined as I saw not point in having a scan if there was no treatment on offer. She then offered me a leaflet which I expect to have some useful information in, however this was just to tell me that the PCT would not pay for treatment. I accept that the information I received was correct but object to the way in which I was informed.
