Since moving to Castleford a number of years ago, and having no prior knowledge of any of the doctors surgery's in the area, i feel fortunate that i chose to join the practice at Fryston Road.

I have had what many people would call a troubled life, and after finally plucking up the courage to talk to my doctor, i could never have imagined how this would change my life.

My doctor has always been very caring and supportive. I have lost count how many times i have sat in the consultation room and just cried. When my consultation has taken more time than is allocated for my appointment, i have never been made to feel rushed. So if your doctor is running late please don't get annoyed, just think that there probably have been patients that need that little bit of extra support and time (it might be you one day).

Over the years I have seen all of the doctors within the practice and have always been satisfied with the level of care that i have received.

I have always found the receptionist to be very helpfull, there is one in particular that always greets you with a smile and cheerful greeting, but also shows empathy when needed. Very professional !!!

Although this is a very busy surgery, you can usually get an appointment, if not for the day that you ring, then normally within a couple of days. However, if you explain your situation to the receptionist she will try and get you an emergency appointment if it is required.

I would not hesitate in recommending Fyston Road Surgery to anyone wanting a doctors surgery that has excellent patient care.

Dear Patient

I am very pleased that you have found the practice to be supportive and caring.

Our doctors, nurses and admin staff work extremely hard to provide this service and it is always gratifying to hear positive comments.

We do however appreciate that these are very difficult times for patients to access the service and we are always working on ways to improve this.

I will pass these comments on to the staff members as it does lift morale when they receive positive comments.
