I have attempted to share safeguarding concerns regarding my, almost 87 year old, neighbour. She is currently residing at pinderfields ward 42, with a broken hip, after a fall. I have called the hospital several times, on different numbers for several days running after requesting an appointment with the ward sister when I was visiting my neighbour. I was given a card with the ward numbers on (which I explained I already had) and told to call to speak with her. How am I to do this when no one answers the phone? I explained how important the time scale was as I actually go on holiday tomorrow! I have also looked for an email to send my safeguarding concerns to but was brought to this page!! My neighbour has no family, is an only child and never married. I am very concerned about my neighbour and have nowhere to share these concerns despite my repeated attempts.
