I had twins in June 2017. I always wanted a natural birth with as little pain relief as possible. I was induced and from the day I was admitted, to the accommodation for my husband and I before the babies arrived, to the amazing treatment on the labour ward and then to the after care and SCBU. Every single member of staff I encountered were polite, friendly and professional. They included my husband and I in all decision making and put our best interests first.
Although my second twin was breech they continued to support me on the decision to have a natural labour and I did so successfully.
From the labour of my first child in 2015, I knew that I had nothing to worry about regarding the expertise at York hospital and they came up trumps again. Even more so I would say.
I think the wards are under staffed yet they do an amazing job anyway.
Cheers to all the hard working staff at York hospital. Especially the midwives xx
