Went in for a foot operation (Akin Osteotomy and Weil's Osteotomy). It’s a small and personal hospital with comfortable armchairs to wait in. Everywhere was clean and warm and staff were reassuring and friendly.
The porter who escorted me to the operating theatre was knowledgeable, friendly and polite. The theatre nurse and anaesthetist were comforting and highly professional. From the time I woke up, intil I left, I had no pain in my foot which attests to the skill of one particular surgeon and his team. My four-bed ward was lovely and fully staffed.
Plenty of people to ensure you are comfortable and to answer questions. Most post-operative patients were on crutches and had to ask for help when accessing the lavatory or shower.
Nobody had to wait after pressing their bell for assistance. Everyone was so helpful and friendly.
Nothing was too much trouble - even the food was good and last but not least, the bed was so soft, I slept all night!
Thoroughly recommended.
Thank you St. Michael's and the satff of St. Joseph's Ward. Jane O'Mahoney
