"Very disappointed"

About: Millgate Healthcare Partnership

As a family we have been with the practice for over 20 years - our decision to join was because I needed to know that if my children needed to see a doctor, this would be immediately.

Some time ago, the appointment system changed meaning you couldn’t pre book an appointment which, in my opinion resulted in chaos.

Cut to more recently the practice has merged with the neighbouring one. I worked for the NHS for avlong time and fully understand teething troubles with any merger but quite honestly, this isn’t even organised chaos. No one seems to know anything, its impossible to get through on the phone and there seems to be a whole plethora of locums. There is absolutely no scope in either waiting area for privacy and dignity - I observes a receptionist speaking to someone who was clearly hard of hearing on the phone discussing the poor man’s piles to most everyone’s amusement - I found that disgraceful and if she had worked in my ward I would have happily sent her home.

I am disappointed to say the least with the current set up and can only hope it improves in the near future.
