"Excellent experience in the Endoscopy department"

i felt moved to provide feedback on my visit to the Endoscopy unit at the hospital, which I was visiting for a Colonoscopy. Aside from the fact that the unit is new and consequently a nice, comfortable and clean environment to visit, I was so impressed by the courtesy, commitment and professionalism of the staff. I confess to being nervous about the exploratory examination, as I’d had the same procedure previously and it was a painful experience. Also, the nature of the procedure means that there is the possibility of finding something life threatening. The medical team were so good at putting me at my ease, explaining what was involved and generally being attentive to my personal needs, and this wasn’t just the direct team of professionals involved with my case. Every member of staff I passed gave me a genuine reassuring and friendly smile. The examination itself was painless, with the staff constantly talking and reassuring me. The whole team were excellent!! It’s critical that hospital visits take place with an emphasis on care, and the Endoscopy Unit have that in spades!!
