"Thank you ward A2 Whiston Hospital"

About: Whiston Hospital / Clinical haematology

(as a relative),

My mother died a few days ago at approximately 0235 am on ward A2. As you can imagine with having so much love for our mum, having mum on any ward was stressful and very distressing.

Mum had many treatments and admissions due to chronic leukaemia, however at times I found it hard to deal with and was feeling stressed with the sickness situation. I felt it as so very unfair and would always question anything and everything that we needed to do for mum. I just wanted the very best for her!

I have to say that my mum was so very pleased with her care and her Consultant treated my mother with dignity, care and respect!

Nurses really cared and provided a lot of support and attention when needed. Was I happy all the time? No, but overall I was very satisfied with the level of love and care my mum received.

The ward staff from domestics to consultants have been great! and my mum loved seeing each and every one of them.

In short I feel it's so important not only to thank the nurses and doctors, but also the cleaners and housekeepers. Mum loved them all and we became very fond of them too.

Thank you for looking after our mum

And should she be here, mum would say "A Big Thank You To You All" XXX
