"Not a good waiting experience"

About: Wanstead Hospital

I have no complaint against staff members and appreciate that it is inevitable that a long wait sometimes occurs, my problem was with the poor facilities on site in general.

There is no water fountain anywhere on the premises and a jug of water that was on a table in the waiting area was empty with no plastic cups to drink from anyway.

Whilst I appreciate that one can bring one’s own water, I have never found this necessary in any other

NHS premises and so tend not to remember.

Many of us will have illnesses that require we remain hydrated at all times and also may need to take medication if the wait is longer than anticipated.

Lastly, the disabled toilet was not fit for purpose with the emergency pull cord hanging useless on the floor.
