"Great teamwork"

I arrived early for a scalp operation and was called through spot on time. Greeted by Doctor. I was informed of the procedure about to take place including a skin graft to cover the patch.

Throughout the procedure I was told of progress and informed of heavier than expected blood loss from the scalp. Because of this the procedure took longer than expected. At no time did I feel concerned or anxious which shows how well the team performed. I have subsequently felt little pain and am looking forward to getting rid of stitches and dressings. I have written personally to the doctor and his team to thank them for their hard work.

The only slight reservation I had was the dressing coming adrift at one point. I had it checked by my surgery who confirmed that one side had lifted because of hair. They were satisfied that the wound was well covered and that pressure was still being applied in the right way.
