"No Support Following Miscarriage"

About: Barnsley Hospital / Accident and emergency Barnsley Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

Went into A&E with spotting bleeding, was confirmed that I was definitely pregnant. Was sent to early pregnancy area which waited there more than 2h to be attended, they took my personal details weight etc etc, waited more 1h30 to get blood taken by doctor. They sent me home, end of the day received call saying my hcg level result but they needed to do another blood test in 48h again to make sure it is a miscarriage.

Two days later came in to the early pregnancy area and had my blood take after few hours, called them back and I was confirmed that I had a miscarriage,  also was offered to get so information sent by post.

In my view, at the moment, I couldn't even speak properly, I was trying to process what had happened.

I didn't get any other support apart from the supposed "information by post"

How's this fair, it's a miscarriage. I have no one to talk to about this.

Unprofessional team.

I think in most hospitals I would be offer help to go through this.

Also I sent this complaint in on the email I was givin and still didn't get an answer. All I want is to have a certificate of the miscarriage an simple thing to do.

Many thanks for your time
