"TTP services at Ashley House"

About: Ashley House / Substance Misuse Service

(as a service user),

The other day we were informed that the pre-treatment and abstinence services run by TTP were being withdrawn. While I am not a fan of TTP I recognise that these services have been of huge value and benefit to growing numbers of service users. The actions of TTP have done little to sway my opinion of them.. How is it that an organisation like TTP stop working with it's clients part way through treatment? My concern is for the service users that are currently within the 12 week treatment plans and also those that attend the pre-treatment group. I would like reassurance that provisions are being made to accommodate those service users when TTP cease to operate from Ashley House at the end of March.

Thank you for your feedback,

please accept our apologies for the delay in response, TTP head office are aware of this post & we await there reply!

all the staff in Ashley house would like to say that we are working hard to insure any changes will have minimum effect on treatment provision.

the DAAT and Halton borough council are working hard on new provisions for recovery services in Ashley house. We hope to have a more robust response within the next few days. This work is being completed as quickly and transparently as possible, The DAAT commissioner chaired a meeting of TTP service users and Ashley house volunteers to answer any questions yesterday, we sincerely hope you were able to attend this meeting we invited as many people as possible. if you were unable to attended we are happy to give feedback from the meeting! our hope is that any changes to service provision in the interim period are minimal to Ashley house service users and that recovery will always be an option for new service users.

regards

John
