Went to see GP with some swelling/pain in finger joints, which have been X-rayed previously, when no cause was found. Was told that he could not refer as Rheumatology are not accepting 'non-urgent' cases, as the PCT are basically bankrupt.
I did not ask what he will do when GP commissioning is in place. He asked me if I had private healthcare.
