"Hip replacement"

About: Leicester General Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

Can anyone explain to me that why, after over five years following a hip replacement via the posterior approach I am still in unspeakable pain.? I'll not name the surgeon , but I'll not forget or forgive him for the mess he's left me in. I can only describe the pain as like sitting on a bag of sharp stones!

Dear reviewer, thank you for taking the time to leave a review and we are sorry to hear that you are in pain.

However as you indicate your operation was over five year ago we would suggest visiting your GP to investigate further.

Or please contact our Patient Information Liaison Service (PILS) on Tel.

08081 788337 and they can review your case notes and contact Orthopaedics for you.

Please contact either one in order to see if the pain you are in can be rectified.

We are sorry for the distress the situation may have caused.

Regards, Communications Team, Leicester's Hospitals.
