"Best possible care"

About: Ninewells Hospital / Accident & Emergency Ninewells Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I was taken in to Ninewells hospital as an emergency with chest pains. I live in the middle of nowhere, but the ambulance arrived very quickly. The two paramedics, Kieron and Yvonne, were both so helpful and pleasant (funny actually).

When we arrived at Ninewells I was taken into a room straight away and doctors came to check me over immediately. There were no long waiting queues.

I was taken up to the admission ward, which was very busy, but run so efficiently and caringly. The nurses were very busy, but nothing was too much trouble for them. Later I was moved to ward 16, which was much quieter. Again, the nurses were so helpful and caring.

During my 2 days in hospital I really believe that I couldn't have received better care and attention if I had been royalty. I saws lots of different consultants and had many tests done, they checked me so thoroughly. I came away knowing that I had received the best possible care. Thank you to all the staff who helped me through a frightening experience.
