"Worst care I've ever experienced"

About: Bmi - The South Cheshire Private Hospital

So I attended the hospital to have surgery with a collerectal surgeon as scheduled in the new year. I felt fully informed 're my procedure and that it can be painful but my consultant was thorough explaining this. Everything was fine until after my op, numerous staff coming into my room, none of whom had communicated with each other. I was in immense pain and had to continuously ask for pain relief, everything I asked for seemed to be a problem, staff were rolling their eyes at each other, telling me my pain was normal and they even got overheard discussing me in the corridor in a negative way. I complained I couldn't pass urine and the response was "you may think you need to" 5hrs after surgery, with me in tears crying my eyes out in pain they agreed to cathetarise me and I released 1500ml of fluid within an hour... I felt instant relief and the reply was "oh you did need to go didn't you" I was receiving morphine, iv paracetamol, codeine , anti sickness meds and buscopan but this wasn't managed at correct intervals so my pain was spiking for around 3hrs before I was due further meds... all of which I had to ask for and then had to wait anything upto 45mins to be authorised. The following morning I was taken off my catheter, my drip was taken out, there was no discussion of pain, nobody ever discussed the severity of it or asked me to do a pain scale, they removed my drip asked me to get dressed because they were discharging me! I replied and said how am I going to manage my pain at home I'm concerned about it and the reply was "we will send you home with cocodamol but you can't stay here" after my parents complained and we received a complete turn around, more pain meds and a lovely nurse who kept checking on me but by then the damage had been done. I am taking this complaint further but I don't want anybody to fooled by thinking because it's a private hospital you will receive better care because you don't. I wouldn't recommend to anybody. I just wonder if it would be different if I wasn't an nhs patient???
