"Miscarriage"

About: Pilgrim Hospital / Gynaecology Pilgrim Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

I had a miscarriage suspected ectopic on new year day, I was admitted to women’s health at the pilgrim hospital where I was operated on. I have never been on a ward with such caring helpful staff. In an incredibly upsetting situation they couldn’t have been kinder.

What could be improved? Someone experiencing miscarriage shouldn't have to sit in A&E.

Dear Kilohp83,

We appreciate that ladies waiting in A&E is upsetting and we are working towards a new model of care which would enable a quicker transfer to the ward.

Sue Glendenning,

Matron, Gynaecology
