I wish to belatedly thank you and all the staff at the Royal Blackburn Hospital for the tender care, consideration and consultation surrounding the condition of my sister who was suffering from Alzheimers and other conditions. I was impressed by the level of dementia awareness, the gentleness of staff from consultants to nursing, care and cleaners who treated her with respect, explained who they were using their first names only and why they were doing what they proposed. It helped her to feel comfortable, safe and secure in unfamiliar surroundings.

Many thanks for your feedback regarding the care and treatment of your sister at Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital.

It is wonderful to receive such lovely feedback regarding the way the staff cared for your sister.

Our staff always strive to deliver, safe personal and effective care and I have shared your comments with our Dementia Lead Nurse.

It would be very helpful if you could let us know which wards / departments cared for your sister so that we can ensure your feedback is also shared with the relevant staff.
