About: Whiston Hospital / General surgery

Just want to say a massive thank you to the staff on ward 4b on 29th Dec, especially one particular staff member who supported my dad when he wasn't coping after a medical procedure on 27th Dec and gave him his dignity back.We spent 6 hours in A+E on 28th but were sent home with my 80 year old dad who had had a catheter fitted after surgery but was experiencing horrific pain. Finally the ward took him back and removed the catheter giving him immediate relief. Their support and compassion was incredible and I can't thank them enough. My dad was discharged and is well again.
