Over the past year my husband has been admitted to Hatton Ward four times, three of which were for operations.
We have already written to the Chief Executive to commend the dedication of the staff at every level but feel more needs to be mentioned.
My husbands last visit was far more serious and required a four week stay and as his wife, I spent between three to five hours a day visiting.
During that time I was overwhelmed by the expertise, care and devotion of the staff and both of us felt a sadness when he finally returned home to say goodbye to all the team who had become almost part of our lives.
We both would like to commend the surgeons and Clinical Sister and her senior staff to whom we owe so much and hope that they know how grateful we both are that we can enter 2018 with a confidence afforded by their devotion to caring for patients and a credit to the NHS.
"In praise of Hatton Ward"
