"Lost Hospital Notes Cancelled planned Hip..."

About: Queen's Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

I attend Orthopedic Clinic at Queens Hospital, need two Hip replacements, first one planned to be carried out at King George Hospital Goodmayes, on 20 12 2017, arrived changed into gown, only seen by a student nurse who asked me a few questions, was visited by the Surgeon and Anesthetist was told I'd be going down after lunch, so was very surprised after sitting another couple of hours without seeing any nursing staff the Surgeon and Anesthetist again, I was told that my Hospital Notes are lost so the operation could not go ahead as it was planned and not an emergency without notes, which I accepted. I sat no knowing what to do, no staff came near nor by me, I went to the nurses station and told the nurse my name,

You are cancelled you can go home now,( she did offer me a drink and something to eat as I had not eaten since day before its now 2.30 pm I thanked her but refused got dressed went home, still no nursing staff came to see me. Following day, I tried to get some answers from Admissions, Secretary, and one other Dept I was put through to, of course no one could offer an explanation, spoke to a young man in Admissions who could offer me nothing, no advise he didn't know when I'd get another date for Surgery as my notes was lost ( as if I didn't know already) i said print them off the computor, he said it wasnt as easy as that ,so finally I get through to PALS, why oh why did I bother, automated EMail sent to me telling me someone would be in touch within 48 hrs only no one has and all my Emails have been ignored in the meantime I'm in pain and no date.. Thank you PALS.
