We had the best respite break at Rachel House hospice for Hogmanay and through New Year. Our son is severely disabled and needs round the clock care. The staff have looked after him so well, particularly his main carer, Thompson. So his mum, dad, brother and sister can have a stress free break knowing he's having a lovely time even when we're not all together all the time.

Our son has had bubble baths, snoozelen sensory room time, walks, massage and he is happy as can be. Off to the cinema to see Paddington 2.

The team are so friendly, caring and sensitive to the whole family. Nothing is too much trouble and we all feel so relaxed, it's like a second home. The food is delicious, too. Thank you to everyone at Rachel House, we couldn't ask for a better break for our son and the whole family.

Thank you so much for taking the time to submit your lovely feedback about your stay over Hogmanay. As Jane has already mentioned, to read that the whole family had a great stay means a lot.

I have shared your comments about our delicious food with the catering team. The staff and volunteers in the kitchen work incredibly hard to provide the lovely homemade meals and it's nice to receive feedback to share with the team. We are always keen to have suggestions on what families would like to see on our menus so please feel free at your next visit to let us know your favourite dish and we will try our best to include it in our menu planning.
