"Fantastic maternity team"

Just gave birth to my firstborn here on the 28/12/17 and I have to say everyone I encountered from triage to transitional care has been nothing but professional, caring and truly had mine and baby’s best interests at the forefront. I had a very long labour at just under 24 hours, and although I encountered a few issues that scared me along the way, the midwives I had were so caring, listened to exactly what I wanted including topping up my epidural the very moment I asked for it which I have never heard of before, normally I here some places make you wait or even refuse.

I could not praise the midwives enough for getting me through such a laborious first birth and encouraging me to keep positive every step of the way. The first midwife I had who again was very caring, empathetic, professional and made the first stage of labour completely comfortable. The anaesthetist who actually set up my epidural was fantastic, it was virtually pain free and he talked me & my partner through every single step and made sure we understood. Last the doctor, who took over my labour after I became high risk ensured I got the VBAC delivery I wanted despite initially thinking it could turn into a C Section and complete alayed any fears I had about both procedures by explaining the facts of what could happen in both. I trusted her judgement and most importantly she treated me and my partner with such dignity and respect throughout,

Overall, despite labour not being what I though it would be, the team at Kingston really looked after myself and my Partner and made our whole experience, I could not give thanks enough particularly to the above mentioned people. Thank you KMU!!
