"Filthy conditions assessment suite"

About: The Royal Victoria Infirmary / Accident & emergency

Follow up to Lack of Communication Post.

Assessment Ward dirty, urine on toilet floor in parents' toilet, swab wipes left on floor, more lack f communication,

Asked to speak to senior member of staff as waiting ages.

He never responded to the complaint, obviously no customer care here and no taking responsibility or dealing with complaint, and never came to speak to myself or my partner.

The Assessment centre is absolutely disgusting and only causes stress, and anxiety to patients and family, does as little as possible, you have to be extremely assertive to get even a cup of water, obviously pray on peoples' circumstances.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your poor experience on the Assessment Suite at the RVI. We strive to make your inpatient stay a positive experience, however we have clearly fallen short on this occasion and we are sincerely sorry for this.

If you would like to discuss the issues raised further please contact Matron Chris Bill on 0191 2139799, who will be happy to talk with you about your concerns.
