On Wednesday afternoon I had a bad fall in my garden and went over on my ankle. Daughters took me to A&E at Ayr Hospital. From arrival to admission into Station 10 (Orthopaedic Ward) took only three hours. Thankfully it was decided I did not require surgery but a cast would suffice in the meantime. I cannot speak highly enough of the care I received through the processing in the emergency department, to the porters, to the ward staff in Station 10 and the plaster room. Staff nurse Gregar and his team of nurses, health care workers, domestic staff, worked tirelessly throughout the long shift. They were patient, respectful, cheerful at all times under duress. I cannot speak highly enough of the care I received all the way though my brief admission to Ayr Hospital, Station 10.
Well done to all.
