Firstly I suggest that when I have a need for a wound to be cleaned and dressed you take less than 5 hours doing so.
Less time pandering to the tea and pillow fluffing for attention seekers and more treatment of those in real need. Especially those who are ok to go out to smoke but for some unbeknown reason cannot use a bed remote.
When you tell me I am having an MRI scan on Wednesday or Thurs, but nothing happens I need to be informed.
Am I going to be seen the next day? Week? Why did it take until a Wednesday, after being admitted late Thursday/early Friday to see the relevant specialist?
My daily antibiotics started at 10:00, but slipped by an hour every day, so Thursdays closer to 14:00. I have not slept at night at all! Noisy attention demanding patients and those who cannot go 5 minutes without attention do not make a peaceful environment.
I actually moved to the kitchen floor to get some quiet on the first night. Remembering that I have as much a right to a noise free environment as any other.
I would also suggest not removing meal request forms until they have actually been completed.
I understand there is a problem with dementia and annoying patients who think this is Claridges, but this increases the stress and suffering on others, subsequently increasing recovery time, and in my case adversely affecting me financially.
I had one wound dressing session delayed 5 times, totally unacceptable.
Above all the lack of communication is appalling, I have now been bed bound for over 17 hours, nil by mouth for a procedure I expected this morning.
I have had no chance to shower etc.
Unacceptable.
"Zero communication"
