"My life is a mess please don’t make it worse"

About: Inclusion Huntingdon

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I really think that my worker or any other worker should not make patients feel like a script (prescription) will be stopped if the keyworker thinks so.  Is it possible they have ulterior motives? Could they be wrong? I want to feel welcome, supported and not think this place is punitive.  I come here for help; my life is a mess please don’t make it worse!

Hi

Really sorry to hear you feel that way. It definitely isn't anything like having ulterior motives. Without knowing your case I can only speak generally but I am happy to talk further with you. We may hold prescriptions at the service when clients are not engaging or if there is a safety issue. We work to strict guidelines about this sort of thing. Maybe this hasn't been explained to you properly and if that is the case I aplogise. We definitely don't want to make it worse we want the same as you to help improve things. Keep discussing the issues with your keyworker. If you feel that you are not being listened to then please ask to speak to a manager. This is absolutely OK to do so. We want to listen and understand the issues more. Going back to safety though, this as you can imagine is the highest priority when prescribing controlled drug.

Thanks for your comments.

Paul
