"Yet Another Delay at Radiotherapy"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

Today 22.12.17 the machine broke down again so another long wait for the radiotherapy treatment for my friend. This has become so frustrating as you never know whether there is a delay, for what reason or how long.

Surely it is possible to service these machines better or if necessary replace them. We have experienced several delays for different reasons over three weeks ,sometimes with no explanation or apology

Somehow the NHS has forgotten that this is most definitely not a free service but a paid for one. One in fact that we have paid for the last 55yrs and are still doing so.

Unfortunately when people are very ill with cancer they have limited choice of hospital as they are often older and are unable to travel out of the area for better services. It would be nice to think that Queens could improve its radiotherapy service so the patients being treated are not left stressed and upset when they are at a very vulnerable time in their life

NB There isn't a RADIOTHERAPY Dept listed in " What department did you visit "
