I took my elderly mum with Alzheimers to the Minor Injuries Unit in Kidderminster as her wrist was swollen and her GP had recommended referral and X-ray. Mum, and previously dad, have had unpleasant experiences at Worcester Hospital in the past and I was anxious about the possibility of being sent there.
Fortunately that wasn't necessary. The Minor Injuries Unit was clean, spacious, welcoming, friendly. The staff were absolutely brilliant, I cannot fault them. The receptionist was friendly and professional. The third year male student nurse was fantastic, treating mum with dignity and respect, and listening to her and me. The X-ray department were great, waiting time minimal. The ENP (not a personality profile but Emergency Nurse Practitioner I discovered!), was knowledgeable, thorough and compassionate.
Thank you all. You are a credit to the NHS.
"Absolutely brilliant"
