"A stroke"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital / Older people's healthcare South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as a service user),

My wife suffered  a stroke. The two young ambulance men  (Phil and Danny) were wonderful, she went immediately into the Stroke Unit at Medway, with equally good care, (thanks to Dr San.) and to Harvey Ward where everyone was wonderful.  Many, many thanks for all of the excellent care there (including to her ancient husband!).

Dear nuthatchqr55

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your thoughts about South East Coast Ambulance Service’s attendance to your wife when she suffered a stroke. It must have been a very frightening time for you both, and I was so pleased to read that you thought the ambulance crew (Phil and Danny) were wonderful and that the care provided by the hospital was excellent.

I do hope your wife is now making a good recovery, and if you do have time to contact us I am sure Phil and Danny would love to know how she is. If you do have time, you can contact us by email to pet@secamb.nhs.uk, or by telephone to 0300 123 9242. Please do let us know when and where we attended your wife, as this will help us to identify the crew concerned.

In the meantime, thank you again for your very kind words, which are very much appreciated, and please do pass on our very best wishes to your wife.

Yours sincerely,

Louise Hutchinson, Head of Patient Experience
