I had a full hysterectomy in August 2017 at Ormskirk Hospital, the nursing staff were so supportive and helpful from the day I went in to the day I left, the only downside to my stay was that the ward I was on was closed at night and we were moved to other wards across the hospital. This was quite distressing as I had built up friendships with other ladies on my ward and we were helping each other through support during the day but split up of an evening, as I was in pain the nights could be very long.
My surgeon and his team were amazing, he came to see me before my op and twice in the same day after my op to see how I was doing, the next day he was offsite and he sent his registra to see me and she ensured I had the best pain relief and that my scar was healing well. The next day my surgeon came to see me again, he checked my meds, my scar and asked if I was eating ok, which I thought was above and beyond his role.
Every doctor, nurse,
HCA’s and Porters i met and dealt with were excellent and I’m glad my gynaecologist recommended your hospital in the first place. My recovery was excellent and I was back on my feet after 2 weeks which I put down to the excellent care I received during my stay at your hospital.
Many Thanks again
