"Left my son in agony and myself worried!"

My son had told me he thought whilst cleaning his ear with a Cotton bud the end had got stuck in his ear. Not wanting to mess around he had an appointment with yet another new doctor. The doctor looked into his ear and said there was absolutely nothing in it and it was an ear infection. He was sent away with antibiotics. Days later he was still in pain. Whilst out my son calls me and sends me a photograph of what he had himself pulled out of his ear with another cotton bud. This was as he suspected the end of a cotton bud. Not happy he had done this but even more concerned that a Doctor missed it.

My appointment last week. I went to see the doctor about a lump above my breast and pains through my back (chest cavity) to the front. Was told only limited time for appointment (even though waited five days for one to become available) so could only address one issue. I chose the lump. The doctor was not concerned but ‘we’ decided best to get checked out. Didn’t listen to my chest and since my breathing and pain in my arm has got worse. I am now worried that based on what I said the doctor should have spent more than 6 minutes with me instead of rushing me out of the doors.

Turns out this was the same doctor who saw my son!!

I am walking into a&e tomorrow to get looked at and when they ask me why I haven’t gone to my doctors i will tell them that I have zero trust in their ability to get it right. My family of 5 will be looking for new doctors tomorrow!

Someone really needs to review this surgery.
