I was admitted to Acer ward via A&E from Monday 11th to Thursday 14th December. They did not know what was wrong with me, and when test results did not fit the mold a diagnosis was not forthcoming. During this time, the care I received from the Acer nursing staff was impeccable. I was treated with respect, care and consideration. I watched how they treated other patients and it was the same. They worked tirelessly as a team, found time to smile and laugh together. They were remarkable. I was in a great deal of pain during my stay but they always made sure they were doing everything they could. I want to thank them for maintaining my faith in the NHS. As I grew up there used to be a TV programme about nurses called Angels. The ones I encountered this week truly are.
