"No thought to after care"

About: Royal Hallamshire Hospital / General surgery

My mother had a hip replacement. Her stay in hospital was generally fine except one day when she was very confused but the nurses had to be pushed to come and take her sick away and assess her.

She left hospital with no care package!!! Left to try and cope with my father at 88 years having to see to her. Father is having hypos from the stress so it is affecting his health. He has limited movement in his hands and has to try!!! And put my mums surgical socks on.

Is this anyway to deal with elderly patients!!!
