"Mammogram one year on"

About: Russells Hall Hospital / Breast surgery

I was diagnosed with breast cancer Nov 2016 and this Trust was the only available appointment.

i usually use Sandwell & West Birmingham but not anymore.

I have had an amazing service from the breast Care nurses and the Consultant and his staff.

I would like to point i am having a very stressful 2 weeks now as i had my mammogram 10th DEC and now have to wait 10 Jan for results.

It is bad enough to have to relive the whole occurrence over again a year later but to add to the stress i have to wait a month for results.

Please could you look at improving the service maybe deliver a one stop service for mammogram results or even a week later.

It is great to hear that you were pleased with the service provided by the nurses and the consultant in our Breast Care Team.

It is unusual for patients to have to wait this long to receive results from a mammogram and we apologise for any additional stress this wait has caused.
