"no real help for mental health problems available if rural"

About: Coventry And Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust / Assertive outreach

(as the patient),

i moved to a village within north warwickshire. i have suffered from mental illness for a long time (bipolar),and since christmas i have been ill, very depressed and anxious, insomnia all the time...

i have a cpn who is a lovely person but has limited time as she covers such a large area...i have seen a psyciatrist once who managed to mess up my medication with my repeat prescription and dosages and it felt like the appointment was spent getting a whole life story from me and left me in a worse state then i was in..

i have contacted the crisis team and although i cannot say detrimental things about them, all the person that came to my house left me in a terrible state, i felt they were rude and treated me like i was about 5...

i was meant to be under daily visits. they came once and it felt to me like they didnt want to be there..they then phoned later and said wouldnt be coming again as so busy....

i have been ill a long time and i know when i really need help..i have asked for it and nothing has happened...i was told as i am rural there is very limited help and it is impossible to get hospital help as we are under coventry now and as i understand it, they virtually never take anyone from where i live....there was a hospital in nuneaton which they closed down...why????

we deserve help as well...i imagine the suicide rates are quite high for the area i live and surrounding area...i am scared as i am getting worse yet there is no help that i can ask for...

it feels to me like mental health problems are pushed under the carpet and forgotten about, why? ...
