Unfortunately I've had to visit the Practice more often than usual these past few months and, although I was wrongly diagnosed with a UTI at first, I was finally able to get a referral to The MRI where my urological problem was discovered and I then had the appropriate surgery.

I suffered with muscular problems following the surgery, however, and the help and support I've had from Medlock Vale has been really good. One particular doctor helped me get back to work and to drive again, the In House Physiotherapist is excellent and a good addition to the practice and the lovely Nurses are always friendly and helpful with the various blood test and other test I've had recently.

You can't always get an appointment to see a Doctor on the day but I understand this is a widespread problem throughout the country and it's just something we have to put up with until the Government sort out the NHS as a whole.

We are sorry to hear about your initial diagnoses being incorrect, and if you wish to discuss this further, please feel free to contact the Practice (either Jayne Quinn our Practice Manager or Sue Barber our Admin Manager). It is good to hear that the Practice Team has helped with your recovery. The in-house physiotherapist is currently funded until the end of March, but we are hoping with the positive work she is doing that we can secure further funding for her to continue in this post. At this moment in time we are 2 GP’s short, and struggling to recruit like many other GP surgeries. We are however trying to cover this with locums. Again many thanks for your positive comments.
