"My experience at my last appointment"

In january 2017 I luckily managed to get an appointment through my go when I had a mental health relaps. My moods were very high then low and I could become very agitated or frustrated very easily at the time.

During my appointment with the Consultant they were instantly dismissive of the things I was telling them with regard to hearing things and having hallucinations and getting sensations that I was being touched/strokes/clawed in my sleep. They did not give me any kind of credibility as to what I was saying with regard that at all and didn’t prescribe any medication to help with that.

They also didn’t seem to take much into account with regard my mood swings and my severe lows. They diagnosed me with a personality dissorder where I apparently don’t feel empathy which I know isn’t the right one, by the symptoms I was having at the time which got much worse after them losing my dose of my anti psychotic that I was miss diagnosed and am still currently not on the right medication.

During that appointment I was then discharged from their service. I was in a very bad mental state with a dissorder that is fairly new to me that is likely to be borderline personality dissorder or bi polar dissorder. I was was told by the Psyciatrist that I was put to the top of the well-being services waiting list, which wasn’t true because I didn’t even receive a call from them. I was also told that I was going to receive a call from their team for a follow up appointment in 6 months time which never happened.

I find t such a shame that it is so difficult to get proper help from this service when you need it most, which the stress of that obviously doesn’t help whatever mental states patients are in at the time.

That is one of my many poor experiences with you this service over the past 7 years.
