"Won’t answer questions!"

About: Stuart Road

I recently had loads of blood tests done, regarding some symptoms I had been having, I saw a doctor (who was lovely, and very helpful- the best Dr they have had there in years) I took my blood test to the hospital, as trying to get a blood test with Stuart Road is a lengthy process; and I’d have been looking at Christmas for the test.

I waited a week to ring up for the results (as I’ve rung for tests before and it usually takes this long) was told my the reception that something was borderline but wouldn’t and couldn’t tell me which test was (I had around 6/7 diffrent tests of the blood). Tried to ring same day at 12 for the afternoon release of appointments (I rang Multiple times and still didn’t manage to get through)

Rang today for an appointment and asked to see the same doctor who unfortunately was not working today, asked to see someone else but was told by reception I “didn’t need to see a doctor” and that “one would ring me to discuss test results and next steps”

Waited for over 2 hours for a call from another doctor.

I asked the doctor to explain the test results, and explain my next steps because I am still having the symptoms I presented with originally.

Doctor told me, the result of one of my blood tests was “low” but this isn’t always considered “a problem” . I understand this but when someone is presenting with problems which are continuing and you have a low result, surely it doesn’t take a genius to understand there needs to be some kind of Further investigation?

Asked doctor what my next step was and was told to make an appointment despite the fact I’d tried to earlier and was told basically No. explained this to doctor; and aired my frustration that it was like going in a big circle, and I wanted some kind of answer, I don’t think this is too much to ask from a GP? Doctor told me they had “only looked at the blood result” and not any of my notes so they “didn’t know”.

Massively frustrated given the result and how I’m feeling and the fact that nobody seems to even bother to read you’re notes or previous tests or even consider you as a person!

Asked the doctor how I would go about making a formal complaint, this was ignored by the doctor completely.

Don’t waste you’re time- I will be looking for another Doctors!
