"Full hip replacement"

This is my second hip replacement. My consultant assured me this operation would be a much better experience than my first hip replacement 6 years earlier. They assured me there would be less pain following surgery and a much quicker recovery time. The stage I'm at in my recovery after five weeks is incredible, I wasn't at this stage 4 months after my first operation.

I can't thank my consultant enough for the care and attention they and their team provided, along with the professional team of nurses and physiotherapist caring for me each day during my three day stay.

Grateful thanks to the member of staff for looking after me when I came back onto the ward from theatre.

I am now attending physiotherapy sessions on a regular basis, which is helping me strengthen the muscles around my hip.
