"Visit to A&E"

About: Pilgrim Hospital

I attended A&E with a severe migraine that was worsening despite various medications. The doctor that saw me, by chance, has background in neurosurgery. I couldn’t have had better luck! The doctor discussed the lack of management provided by my own GP and really went out of their way to provide knowledge, medications (which they intends my GP to continue) and even holistic treatment and prevention techniques (not medications). The doctor was the only doctor in A&E that morning yet went above and beyond with me to ensure I was better able to manage my migraines (the sort of treatment that I would expect after several neurology outpatient appointments)!

The nursing staff were fantastic, as was everyone else within the department but the doctor really was second to none!

Thank you!

Hi

Thank you so much for your kind words. I sincerely hope things will improve for you in the coming days as your management becomes more complete and focussed. As healthcare providers, when we receive such positive feedback (such as yours) it only further encourages us to keep advocating to put each and every one of our patient's best interests first.

With best wishes for the future in respect of your health, from me and the rest of the team at the Emergency Department at Pilgrim Hospital, Boston.

Regards

Phil
