I went to lister a&e last week,in terrible abdominal pain. From the moment of arrival to discharge I had exceptional care, for what turned out to be a renal stone.
The care in a&e was fantastic, swift assessment and pain relief. Prompt I'v fluids, and such kindness by all staff.
I was moved to cdu where the care overnight was amazing and I was treated with kindness, dignity and respect with timely observations and pain relief.
The radiographer in the scanning department was so kind and explained what was happening during the procedure.
I was then moved to sua,a special mention for the admission staff member. I saw the renal team there. I was given clear explanations by the team as to my choices with my husbands involvement. On discharge my tto s were made ready,my discharge letter and sickness certificate made ready with explaination given to me before discharge.
I work in the Nhs,and always try to treat my patients as I would like to be treated , when I too now needed the Nhs at lister I had gold star treatment from the minute I entered until I left. Thank you to everyone who looked after me on the evening of the 30th nov until the 1st December. M V
