"Second time around"

About: Macclesfield District General Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

I returned for my second total knee replacement confident of good care after my first positive experience.

The efficiently and excellent treatment has been maintained and the teamwork of the doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists is again excellent.

The night staff were caring, particularly two jolly nurses who found time to make me tea and give me a hug when I felt very low during the night. To my mind this is basic good nursing that works wonders , especially when time is short. Thank you!

I did experience problems post anesthetic and I believe this is being looked into .
